Leonhard Kurz GmbH & Co. KG
LEONHARD KURZ GmbH & Co. KG is a family owned company established
about 100 years ago. From its beginning as a gold foil producer, it
is today a leading manufacturer in the world of security hotstamping
foils.
KURZ established its presence in the U.S. by the take over of the Hastings
company in 1972. KURZ expanded its business by the foundation of KURZ
Transfer Products L.P. in Charlotte, N.C. as sales office and manufacturing
plant for security products.
The Kurz Group consists of eight manufacturing plants, fifteen subsidiaries
and over 70 exclusive agencies. Kurz offers an excellent customer service
from concept to full production through a world-wide network in manufacturing,
sales and services. Quality control throughout the Kurz Group is supported

Oesterreichische Banknoten- und Sicherheitsdruck GmbH (OeBS)
Founded in 1816 as part of the ”Privilegierte Oesterreichische
Nationalbank”, the department was converted into the Oesterreichische
Banknoten- und Sicherheitsdruck GmbH – a limited company completely
owned by the Oesterreichische Nationalbank – in 1998.
Today, the OeBS group operates globally in the following fields: banknote
and securities printing for central bank customers, detectors for high
security features and solutions for banknote sorting systems. Moreover
the OeBS also aims to provide products and services, which efficiently
meet the needs of banknote printers and of organizations involved in
the processing of banknotes in circulation. Particular consideration
is given to the observation of strict environmental standards through
the use of state-of-the-art technology.
As a member of the Money + Cards Group consisting of Austria Card (chip
card production), Münze Österreich (stamping of coins and
medals) and Geldservice Austria (money circulation and handling systems)

Orell Füssli, founded in 1519, is one of the world's oldest printing companies. Today, apart from conjuring up a tradition of excellence, the name has become a byword for the highest quality in respect of techniques, security and innovation. Securency Pty Ltd is a joint venture between the Reserve Bank of Australia
(RBA), and Innovia Films. Securency's core business is the production
of polymer substrate for banknotes. This is supported by a vigorous
research and development program, focused on leading-edge innovative
security features which can also be used in new-generation substrates
for security documents and secure cards.
Securency's substrate for banknotes is known as Guardian®. The proven
security, quality, cleanliness and cost-effectiveness of Guardian®
substrate has launched a new era in banknotes, and global interest is
growing rapidly. Guardian® polymer substrate is quickly being recognized
as the superior alternative to paper banknotes.
